Prayer Services at Or Atid are warm and highly participatory in the egalitarian Conservative tradition. Services are led by Rabbi Sally Finestone, with the assistance of the Ritual Committee and many members of the congregation.
Saturday morning Shabbat services
Join us for Shabbat services which are held throughout the year. Regular services start at 9:30am and are open to all. Additional services are held on all major Jewish holidays. On many occasions the Torah service includes an in-depth Torah study, led by Rabbi Sally Finestone.
Kabbalat Shabbat Friday night services
End your week with a Kabbalat Shabbat casual evening of song and prayer led by Rabbi Finestone. This short 45 minute service features beautiful music and a festive Oneg! Kabbalat Shabbat services are held frequently throughout the year.
Or Atid Siddur Companion
To help our members and guests feel engaged and involved in our Shabbat services, Congregation Or Atid is pleased to offer this special pamphlet which is a companion to our prayer book. It provides a brief explanation of the Shabbat service, meanings of the prayers and an English transliteration of the prayers recited during Shabbat. Go here to view the booklet.
Shabbat is for children!
Children's babysitting is available every Shabbat and, of course, children are welcome in the sanctuary for services as well.
